Comedian Samay Raina Brings Home Rs 1.2 CR Toyota Vellfire - What Makes It Special?

Dhanteras 2025 has seen another star join the luxury car club. Stand-up comedian and YouTuber Samay Raina celebrated the festive occasion by bringing home a brand-new Toyota Vellfire MPV worth over Rs 1.2 crore (ex-showroom). Raina, known for his witty stand-up shows, shared a glimpse of his latest purchase on Instagram. His stories featured him posing proudly with the sleek black Vellfire, joined by his parents at the dealership. The short clip from inside the car offered a peek at the plush interiors, highlighting the premium cabin that Toyota’s flagship MPV is known for.

Under the hood, the Toyota Vellfire comes with a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired

with a strong hybrid system. The setup delivers around 193 hp and 240 Nm of peak torque, sent through an e-CVT gearbox. Despite its size and luxury, the MPV offers a respectable fuel efficiency of about 16 km/l, making it both powerful and practical for long drives.

The Vellfire’s appeal lies in its focus on comfort and technology. Inside, it feels closer to a private lounge than a car. Key features include reclining captain seats with a massage function, a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 15-speaker JBL audio setup, and a massive 14-inch rear entertainment display. The second-row passengers also get a detachable control unit, ambient lighting with 14 colour options, and dual sunroofs that add to the sense of space and luxury.

The driver’s seat is 8-way power adjustable with memory settings, and the MPV also gets conveniences like a one-touch power sliding door and foldable rotary trays with vanity mirrors. Safety is another strong point, with six airbags, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring among the key highlights.

In India, the Toyota Vellfire is priced between Rs 1.19 crore and Rs 1.29 crore, depending on the variant and options chosen. Available in colours like Silver Mica Metallic, Pearl White, and Black, it combines understated elegance with road presence. With this purchase, Samay Raina joins a growing list of Indian celebrities who own the Vellfire, including Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Kiara Advani, Kriti Sanon, and Ayushmann Khurrana.
