After a 25-year-long run in the country, Skoda Auto India has now sold over 5 lakh cars to Indian customers. The carmaker has also recorded a 90 percent Year-on-Year (Y-o-Y) growth in terms of sales in November
2025 by selling 5,491 cars. This comes after the brand recorded its highest-ever sales in the first ten months of 2025. Here are the biggest winners from the Skoda lineup.

While the brand has a 130-year-old sedan legacy, it has been the INDIA 2.0 models, including both SUVs and sedans, that have proven to be a game-changer for Skoda in the country. In its 25-year run here, the Skoda Octavia has built a considerable brand legacy in the country and has now returned as the Octavia RS for the brand's silver jubilee. Skoda managed to sell out all 100 Octavia RS cars in under 20 minutes. Moreover, the Slavia 1.0 and 1.5 TSI continue to drive the sedan legacy and bring in substantial numbers for the carmaker.
Skoda India also attributes the recent milestone success to its SUV lineup in the country. From the Kylaq to the Kodiaq premium 7-seater, there is a Skoda SUV available to customers from Rs 7.5 lakh to Rs 45.90 lakh ex-showroom. However, the breadwinners are the Kylaq and Kushaq SUVs that are based on the MQB-A0-IN platform that was introduced under the brand's INDIA 2.0 strategy in 2020.
MQB-A0-IN platform-based cars such as the Slavia, Kushaq and Kylaq are heavily localised and made-for-India, ready for the world. The vehicles have also scored a 5-star crash safety rating under the latest and more stringent Global NCAP crash tests. With the recently launched Kylaq SUV entering the affordable compact SUV segment, it has performed well for the carmaker and recorded over 30,000 sales in the first 8 months since its launch.
