JSW MG Motor India has shared its sales numbers for the month of April. Compared to April of last year, when it sold 5,829 units, MG posted sales of 6,018 units in April 2026, which is an increase of 189 units, translating to growth of a 3%. That said, on a MoM (month-over-month basis), the company experienced a dip of 510 units compared to 6,528 units sold in the month of March 2026, a 7.81% YoY drop. According to MG, the company's positive performance during the month, despite the ongoing West Asia crisis, is supported by a balanced demand across its Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and New Energy Vehicle (NEV) models.
Currently, MG's product range in India spans across affordable hatchbacks to premium SUVs. The range begins with the MG Comet
EV, while it also includes SUVs like the Astor and Hector, alongside the the three-row Hector Plus. The Gloster SUV is the premium SUV, which is soon to retire from its pedestal by a new upcoming flagship, the MG Majestor. Other models in the range include the MG ZS EV, and the high-end Cyberster.
MG Majestor Launch and What to Expect in Price
MG will soon announce prices for the much-awaited Majestor in India, which has already made its debut earlier this year. The upcoming Toyota Fortuner rival has three variants: Sharp 4x2, Savvy 4x2, and Savvy 4x4. It is available in Concrete Grey, Metal Black, Pearl White, and Metal Ash colour options. In terms of design, the new flagship MG SUV borrows key design elements from the internationally sold Maxus D90. It gets split-style headlamps, a chiselled bonnet, a beefy front bumper, a large grille with a mesh-like design, and signature LED DRLs, connected LED taillamps, a dual exhaust tips at the rear.
Key interior features include a 6-seater layout with captain seats in the second row, multiple charging ports across all three rows, a 7-seater configuration, with sliding and folding second-row seats, dual 12.3-inch displays, powered, heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats and a 12-speaker JBL audio system.

MG has equipped the upcoming Majestor with a a 2.0-litre twin-turbo engine that makes 212bhp and 478Nm. Transmission duties are carried out by a ZF 8-speed torque-converter automatic. Some of the other highlights are M-Crawl function, three locking differentials low-range transfer case, and On-demand four-wheel drive coupled with M-Hub’s 10-mode terrain management system. In terms of price, the Majestor is expected to range somewhere between Rs 40-45 lakh (ex-showroom).
