While the world has only seen camouflaged prototype images of the all-new Cayenne Electric SUV, Porsche has given us an official look inside the upcoming car's interiors. The carmaker says that the new Cayenne Electric will feature 'the largest display surface ever featured in a Porsche'.
The Porsche 'Flow Display':
The Cayenne Electric will be the first model to feature the Porsche 'Flow Display'. The name refers to the all-new curved OLED display that integrates infotainment and other functions in the centre console and stretches out to the passenger side.
Overall in the Cayenne EV, there will be a 14.25-inch OLED fully digital driver information console, the Flow Display centre infotainment console and the optional 14.9-inch passenger display that offers entertainment along with an Augmented Reality-based Head-Up Display. This would effectively give the new Cayenne EV a digital screen real estate of 87 inches in total.
Porsche further announced that the flow display would feature configurable widgets for ease of use and would also be integrated with a themes app to offer customised colour schemes across all displays. Apart from the screens, Porsche has also confirmed that the new SUV will be available in 13 different interior colour combinations and four different interior packages.
The upcoming Cayenne Electric will also feature Porsche's largest-ever glass roof. The glass roof is both electrochromic and can be opened from the front. The electrochromic feature allows the roof to toggle between 0 percent to 60 percent opacity for passenger comfort.
The futuristic cabin is befitting of the new electric-only direction that Porsche has taken with its iconic Cayenne SUV. The electric Cayenne is expected to be unveiled sometime in late 2025, before its launch, which is expected in 2026.
