Skoda Auto is all set for one of its most important international expansions, as the brand is officially entering Saudi Arabia, which is one of the fastest-growing car markets in the Middle East.
Skoda
has partnered with SAMACO Motors, which is a well-established distributor that already handles several Volkswagen Group brands. Through this partnership, Skoda aims to introduce a wide range of cars from hatchbacks to SUVs, the vehicles suitable for young families, daily commuters and premium car buyers.
For the Saudi market, Skoda is introducing- Skoda Octavia, Skoda Kushaq, Skoda Karoq and Skoda Kodiaq. The Superb, in both hatchback and estate forms, will be added later. And by 2026, Skoda will launch the Slavia, which is a compact sedan that has become very successful in markets like India. Skoda will open two showrooms in 2025, which will be located in Jeddah and Al Khobar

A much larger flagship showroom will open in Riyadh in 2026 which will give customers easier access to test drives, after-sales service and digital buying experiences. These showrooms will feature modern technology such as video walls, touch-based information tables and interactive car displays.
Saudi Arabia is one of the strongest automotive markets, with rapid growth and increasing car ownership, which is currently around 156 vehicles per 1,000 residents. By 2030, annual car sales are expected to touch one million units.
The company especially wants to attract young buyers and families looking for stylish, reliable and feature-rich cars and to support the whole Middle East region, Skoda has also set up a regional office under Volkswagen Group Middle East.
Skoda’s entry into Saudi Arabia follows its recent expansion in Oman, Qatar and the UAE. Outside Europe, the company is focusing strongly on India and Vietnam, which act as key manufacturing and export hubs.
Skoda Board Member for Sales and Marketing, Martin Jahn, said the Saudi launch shows the brand’s commitment to becoming a truly global brand. With strong local support from SAMACO Motors and a wide model lineup, Skoda expects its cars to appeal to the growing customer base in the Kingdom.
