Coming to the more theatrical properties of the Digital Matrix LED, the Daytime Running Lights (DRL) in the new system consist of 48 LED segments per headlight. This allows the new A6 sedan to have 8 different DRL signatures that the driver can choose from. The signatures are also animated and give a light show when the car is locked or unlocked. The same goes for the digital OLED rear lights 2.0, which are now part of the manifesto. Each taillamp has 198 active LED segments that offer multiple animation options and give a striking appearance.
