Mahindra is keeping the hype alive around its upcoming electric flagship, the XEV 9S. The brand’s latest teaser focuses on something every family SUV buyer cares about: storage space. The new clip reveals
that the all-electric SUV will not only offer a sizeable rear luggage area but also a frunk, or front trunk, under the bonnet. While Mahindra hasn’t revealed exact measurements yet, the teaser hints at generous cargo room in both areas. That’s likely to be a key talking point for the XEV 9S, especially as it takes on rivals in the premium electric SUV space.
The XEV 9S will make its full debut on November 27, but Mahindra’s teaser campaign over the past few weeks has already given away plenty. Earlier glimpses confirmed features such as a “Boss Mode” function, a button that slides the front passenger seat forward to create limousine-like legroom at the back, and rear reclining seats. Clearly, Mahindra is aiming for a more luxurious experience than what we’ve seen from the brand so far.

Inside, the XEV 9S will continue Mahindra’s digital-first approach. Expect a wide, three-screen setup across the dashboard, a driver’s display, a central infotainment touchscreen, and a dedicated passenger-side entertainment screen. The front seats will get memory functions with three presets, and the driver’s seat adjustment was clearly shown in one of the teasers. The second-row seats will recline for better flexibility. A panoramic sunroof with ambient illumination will add to the sense of space inside. Adding to the premium touch will be a Harman Kardon audio system, and while Mahindra hasn’t confirmed it yet, Dolby Atmos compatibility seems very likely.
