Triumph India rolled out its new 350cc range, comprising Scrambler, Speed, and Thruxton, in April this year. The switch to 350cc was driven by the new 'tax structure' - where bikes above 350cc attract 40% GST, while anything at or below that mark is taxed at 18%. It has not even been two months since the move, and the Triumph has now increased prices across several models in its recently downsized 350cc lineup. If you are planning to buy any of the 350cc Triumphs, be it a Speed, Scrambler 400 XC, or a Thruxton, here's a closer view at the revised prices of these models.
Triumph 350cc Bikes Price Hike: Which Bikes Cost More Now - And By How Much?
Despite being the entry-level option, the Triumph Speed T4 has seen a high raise, compared to the Speed 400. The prices for the bike have increased by Rs 4,000 to Rs 1.99 lakh.
The Speed 400, in contrast, is now costlier by Rs 2,000, with a price tag of Rs 2.34 lakh. The Thruxton 400 and Scrambler 400 XC have seen a uniform hike of Rs 5,000, and are now priced at Rs 2.70 lakh and Rs 2.94 lakh, respectively. Only the prices of these four models in the 350cc range have been revised so far. For now, the prices for the Scrambler 400 X and Tracker 400 remain unchanged. These prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
Mechanically, the engine downsizing has trimmed output across the board. The Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 XC produce roughly 3hp and around 5-6Nm less than before. The Speed T4, on the other hand, loses a small but noticeable 2hp and 5Nm.

Triumph 350cc Bikes Price Hike: Why Buyers Should Care?
The window of attractive prices on Triumph's 350cc range is narrowing. Hence, it is the right time for anyone who has had a Triumph on their wishlist to make the booking. The 350cc range was always the most affordable these bikes have ever been in India, and even with the current hikes, they still make a good option against popular rivals from Jawa-Yezdi, Honda, and Royal Enfield. That said, prospective buyers should act sooner as there's no guarantee prices will stay where they are. With the Scrambler 400 X and Tracker 400 yet to be revised, more increases could still be on the way.
