Nissan Tekton has officially launched in India today with prices starting from Rs 10.49 lakh and going up to Rs 18.59 lakh (all ex-showroom). Twelve variants are on offer across six trim levels and two engine options with deliveries confirmed from July 20. If you've been cross-shopping this against the Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta or Kia Seltos, the full variant-wise breakdown below is worth reading before you walk into a showroom.
Nissan Tekton: Variants and Engine Options
The Tekton is offered in six trim levels: Visia, Visia+, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna and Tekna+. Two engines are available — a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol producing 100 hp and 166 Nm paired only with a 6-speed manual (T160 MT) and a 1.3-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol producing 163 hp and 280 Nm, available with either
a 6-speed manual (T280 MT) or a 6-speed DCT automatic (T280 DCT). The 1.0-litre engine is restricted to the four lower trim levels while the 1.3-litre is available from Acenta upwards.
Here's the complete variant-wise ex-showroom price breakdown:

Who Is It Up Against?
At the top, the Tekna+ gets a 10.1-inch freestanding touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a wireless charger, a powered tailgate, Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, a 360-degree camera and 18-inch alloy wheels. The rose gold and burgundy dual-tone cabin sets it apart visually from its Renault twin.
The Tekton shares its 5-star Bharat NCAP rating with the Duster which is already among the safest mid-size SUVs tested in India. Its dimensions — 4,348mm long, 1,815mm wide, 1,674mm tall — are identical to the Duster. Direct rivals include the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Maruti Victoris, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun.
At Rs 10.49 lakh for the base manual and Rs 16.49-18.59 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top DCT options, the Tekton mirrors Renault Duster pricing almost exactly which means the choice between them may come down to design preference and brand trust instead of any mechanical or feature difference.
