Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric, which is expected to arrive in the Indian market soon, has scored a five-star safety rating in the latest Euro NCAP crash tests. Euro NCAP published the results in December 2025 and the tested model was the CLA 250+ AMG Line Electric and the rating applies to multiple electric variants of the CLA lineup, including right-hand-drive versions, which is the same configuration used in India. These tests were conducted under Euro NCAP’s 2025 safety standards.
Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric - Protection for Adult Occupants
In the Adult Occupant Protection category, the CLA Electric scored 94 percent. During frontal crash tests, the passenger cabin remained stable, which means the car’s structure absorbed impact effectively. Euro
NCAP rated protection for the driver and front passenger’s head, chest, knees and legs as “good.” Side-impact tests, including difficult pole-impact situations, also showed strong protection. Even rear-end collisions were handled well, reducing the risk of whiplash injuries for both front and rear passengers.
Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric - Child Safety
The CLA Electric also performed well in Child Occupant Safety, scoring 89 percent. Euro NCAP tested the car using child dummies representing six- and ten-year-old passengers. Protection was rated good in both frontal and side crashes. The car supports ISOFIX and i-Size child seat mounting. Another helpful feature is automatic airbag deactivation when a child seat is detected in the front passenger seat.

Its autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system was praised for detecting people and two-wheelers in busy urban conditions.
