Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is revving high on success this festival season and after GST 2.0, as the company has recorded its highest-ever monthly sales for ‘Creta’ with 18,861 units sold in September 2025. This marks the SUV’s strong popularity among Indian buyers, enthusiasts and car lovers, who continue to look for practicality, style and feature-rich cars in the growing SUV segment.
Looking at the total sales, Hyundai sold 51,547 cars domestically in September 2025, marking a substantial rise fueled by the recent GST 2.0 reforms, festive demand, and strong customer interest across different categories. What stands out most is the contribution of SUVs which is 72.4% of Hyundai’s sales and the highest-ever penetration in the company’s
history. Out of this, the Creta led the charge, while the Hyundai Venue also made the presence with clocking its best performance in 20 months with 11,484 units sold.

Hyundai’s sales growth is not limited to India, but it is expanding on the global stage as well. The company has achieved its highest monthly exports in 33 months, shipping 18,800 cars in September 2025. This represents a robust 44% year-on-year growth compared to the same period last year. In total, Hyundai exported 99,540 cars between April and September 2025, reinforcing India’s role as a global manufacturing hub for the company.
When combining domestic and export numbers, Hyundai registered 70,347 units in September 2025, which is 10% increase over September 2024. This growth reflects how India’s automotive sector is benefiting from a mix of government reforms and rising festive spirit.
