After much anticipation, the resurgence of the Norton motorcycle brand has now been confirmed in terms of production-ready motorcycles that have been showcased at EICMA 2025 in Milan, Italy. Leading the charge will be the Norton Manx R V4 superbike that will set the benchmark of what the iconic brand aims to deliver in its refreshed avatar. With its powerful performance specs, minimalistic design language and the legacy of the Norton name, here's what you can expect from the India-bound Manx R.

Norton Manx R Design:
The Norton Manx R is a fully-faired superbike that follows the brand's 'reductive' design philosophy. That means that the superbike does not feature any aggressive-looking
wings, lines, decals or creases. Instead, it has an organic and clean design language finished with a brushed silver and black colour scheme.
Norton Manx R Performance:
The simplicity of the Manx R design is contrasted by a powerful V4 configuration engine, which the brand claims is focused on real-world driveability. Tuned for delivering early torque instead of top-end peak horsepower, the 1,200cc V4 engine produces 206 hp at 11,500 rpm and 130 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm. Norton claims that the all-alloy, liquid-cooled engine has been tuned to deliver a powerful mid-range performance. The bike also gets a 6-speed transmission and weighs 204 kg.
Norton Manx R Tech Features:
All that raw power is further assisted by advanced riding tech and features that the Manx R will come with. It covers the essentials by offering five riding modes, traction control, an electronic quickshifter, slip and assist clutch. Other highlights include a semi-active Marzocchi, fully-adjustable suspension setup, Brembo HYPURE brakes, lean-sensitive ABS, 17-inch carbon wheels and Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tyres.
The rider interacts with the motorcycle via an 8-inch TFT touchscreen, which also gets Bluetooth connectivity. The Manx R also features cornering cruise control, switchable and cornering traction control, wheelie and rear wheel slide control, launch control and hill start support feature. The Manx R's extensive feature list does not stop there as its arsenal also boasts of a Keyless start and fuel tank open-close function along with signature welcome lighting and live tracking, remote immobilisation and more.
TVS Motor Company acquired the Norton brand in 2020 and has invested Rs 2,317 crore in its new Solihull plant, where the new range of Norton motorcycles will be built. The brand confirmed the upcoming portfolio would include Norton Manx Sport and Atlas adventure range of motorcycles and will be sold across the UK, USA, India and Europe out of 200 planned customer touchpoints.
