India’s compact SUV market is getting hotter day by day and the latest launch of All New Hyundai Venue has ignited the buzz in the auto market. Now the face-off is between the brand-new 2026 Hyundai Venue and the popular
Tata Nexon, as both are loaded with features, powerful engines and bold designs, but they cater to slightly different kinds of drivers.
Design and Dimensions
The 2026 Hyundai Venue gets a complete redesign as it is now taller (48 mm more) and wider (30 mm more) than before, with a more premium stance. It measures 3995 mm in length, 1800 mm in width and 1665 mm in height. The new quad-beam LED headlamps, Horizon LED lamps and dark chrome grille give it a futuristic look. The Tata Nexon, on the other hand, retains its muscular appeal with sharp lines and a coupe-like rear. It is slightly shorter in height (1620 mm) but matches the Venue in length.
Engine and Performance
The Nexon petrol manual comes with a 1.2L turbocharged Revotron engine producing 118 bhp and 170 Nm torque, available with 5- or 6-speed manual gearboxes. It also offers Eco, City, and Sport drive modes.
Whereas the Hyundai Venue Petrol offers Kappa 1.2l MPi Petrol MT (Manual) in three trims: HX 2, HX 4 and HX 5.

The Nexon also impresses with features like a digital cluster, ventilated seats and a 10.25-inch touchscreen. However, Hyundai’s “Harchitecture” cabin layout and high-tech interface feel a bit more futuristic.
Safety and Price
Both SUVs score well in safety. The Nexon proudly carries a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating with six airbags and ESP, while the Venue matches with similar safety equipment, however it doesn’t hold any safety ratings.
Looking at the price, the Nexon petrol manual starts at Rs 7.31 lakh, while the Venue begins around Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
