German luxury and sports car manufacturer Porsche has globally unveiled its second all-electric SUV on November 19. The Cayenne Electric is now the flagship EV from the brand and brings several cutting-edge
technologies and developments from the carmaker to set new benchmarks in the luxury EV space. From wireless car charging to Formula E tech, here's everything that makes the all-new Cayenne Electric stand apart from its rivals.

New Porsche Cayenne Electric Design:
Unlike the ICE version, the Cayenne Electric gets a more aerodynamic silhouette. The front end looks clean thanks to the absence of massive air vents, unlike the ICE version. It also comes with an additional 90 litres of storage space thanks to the frunk. However, unlike the ICE version tall headroom, the electric version gets a more sloping roofline. At the rear, we get to see the connected LED taillamps with the backlit Porsche lettering similar to what we have seen in earlier electric models like the Taycan.
Porsche Cayenne Electric Gets Interior Of The Future:
The cabin of the Cayenne Electric has also been developed to offer the best from the house of Porsche. The centre stage is taken by the Flow Display. It is the largest screen ever installed in a Porsche car, which also curves and blends seamlessly into the centre console. Other highlight features include electrically adjustable rear seats, mood modes that can change cabin lighting, climate, audio functions and the SUV also gets a sliding panoramic glass roof with variable light control. This means the glass roof can switch between clear and opaque visibility modes.
The cabin of the Cayenne Electric can be customised between 13 colour combinations, four interior packages and five accent packages. The digital screen real estate includes a 14.25-inch OLED driver information display, the central curved OLED infotainment display and an additional 14.90-inch display for the front passenger. These make up for a total display size of 87 inches inside the Cayenne Electric.
Formula E Tech Inside The Cayenne Electric:
In terms of performance, the Cayenne Electric's highlight is the Formula E tech that has made its way from the Porsche 99X into the electric SUV. These include the Direct Cooling into the current carrying components and the electric motor, up to 600 kW energy regeneration while braking and support for up to 400 kW charging, giving it a 10-80 percent charge time of under 10 minutes from a suitable station. The Cayenne Electric is also the first production car to support EV wireless charging of up to 11 kW.
Porsche Cayenne Electric - Battery, Range And Performance:
The new Cayenne Electric gets a 113 kWh battery pack, which Porsche claims gives the SUV a range of up to 600 km (WLTP) on a full charge, depending on the configuration. In terms of power, the Cayenne-E's electric motor produces 1,000 hp and can do a 0-100 kmph sprint in just 2.5 seconds.
The Cayenne Electric is the third EV from Porsche after the Macan-E and the Taycan. While Porsche is yet to confirm a launch date, order for the electric SUV are open now. In terms of when it will arrive in India, the Cayenne Electric is expected to arrive in the country sometime during the first half of 2026.
