The second edition of Times Drive Auto Summit & Awards 2026, presented by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has announced its winners, recognising excellence across both four-wheelers and two-wheelers. The MG Cyberster has emerged as the Design Car of the Year, thanks to its striking and unconventional styling. The electric roadster was designed at SAIC’s London-based studio under Carl Gotham. It combines classic MG B-inspired styling with a modern electric look. Winners were judged
on key criteria such as performance, technology, design, and overall consumer impact. Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India (MoRTH), attended as chief guest, sharing his vision for the industry’s future.

The electric roadster, which sits at the high-end at MG portfolio in India, looks bold and futuristic. It stands out with its sharp LED headlamps, Kammback-style rear, and eye-catching scissor doors. The cabin is well-equipped with modern amenities such as a multi-screen layout with dedicated driver displays and a touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other highlights include a Bose audio system, ambient lighting, and ventilated seats.
The electrified MG draws power comes from a 77kWh battery mated to dual motors, which produces 510hp and 725Nm. It can sprint from 0–100km/h in 3.2 seconds, and has a claimed range of up to 580 kilometres.
