Thar Roxx, Bolero, Scorpio-N Fuel Mahindra SUV Sales To Over 58,000 Units In May 2026

Mahindra recorded selling 58,021 SUVs in the domestic market in May 2026. This was a year-on-year rise of 11% over 52,431 units sold in May 2025. The Thar Roxx, Scorpio-N, Bolero, XUV700, and XUV 3XO are some of the popular Mahindra SUVs currently on sale in India. Mahindra has reported that its total utility vehicle supplies stood at 59,573 units, including exports. The company also maintained healthy growth across its commercial vehicle business. Mahindra SUVs Dominated The Sales: Thar, Bolero, XUV 3XO, BE 6, More

There's no denying the fact that Mahindra's portfolio in India is ruled by SUVs of all sizes and shapes. The Thar, and its 5-door counterpart, the Thar Roxx, the Bolero, and the rebadged XUV300, the XUV3XO, are some of the popular models that have helped the brand in cementing

its position in the country. The company exported 5,000 units in May 2026, showing a rise of 37% from 3,646 units in the same month last year. The Year-to-date shipments, on the other hand, rose 42% to 9,970 units.

As for the year-to-date sales for FY27, Mahindra 1,14,352 units, compared to 1,04,761 units during the corresponding period last year, exhibiting a growth of 9%.

Commercial Vehicles Register Double-Digit Growth

In the commercial vehicle division, the homegrown automaker demonstrated a strong performance. Domestically, it sold 24,079 units, a gain of a 19% year-on-year. The light commercial vehicle segment under 2 tonnes posted sales of 3,490 units, a rise of 35% compared to May of last year. The 2-tonne to 3.5-tonne category contributed 20,589 units, showing an increase of a 16%.

The three-wheeler segment emerged as one of the strongest contributors to the sales. It sold 12,536 units, including electric models, during the month, resulting in a whopping growth of 89% over the previous year.
