Kia India has reported total sales of 22,700 units in September 2025, a growth of 15.8% over the 19,608 units sold in August 2025. The company has attributed this growth to changes related to GST and increased
festive demand. Meanwhile, Kia's exports stood at 2,606 units for the same month. The official release does not provide a direct year-on-year comparison figure for September as a standalone month; however, it does state that Kia sold a total of 2.07 lakh units YTD through September 2025, up 7.2% over the same period last year. These figures underline stronger near-term demand, while the longer trend should be judged against full YoY data.

Kia India: September And YTD Performance In Detail
In September 2025, Kia sales were mostly driven by its core models. The company threw light on Sonet, Carens, Carens Clavis, Seltos, Syros, and Carnival as significantly contributing names in building up buyer interest. Exports totalling 2,606 units were a small yet notable piece of the monthly volume. Year-to-date dispatches stood at well over 2.06 lakh units, which means the automaker is advancing over last year but the official press release stated that it has more to do with a wider festive and tax-driven demand surge than any particular model.
Kia India September Sales: What’s Driving The Monthly Jump
Kia pointed out two main demand drivers that helped push sales- the recent GST reforms made the models more affordable and also because of the festive season, showroom footfalls have increased. The company maintains product freshness, having launched nine models (including EVs) in the Indian market so far. Also, there is increasing consumer interest in feature-loaded variants. Kia’s sales and marketing leadership take September sales as an exact measure of how much better engaged the customer has become post the tax adjustments.
