Ola Electric officially began delivering vehicles powered by its newly developed 4680 Bharat Cell batteries. This is a big step forward not only for Ola but for the entire EV industry, as the company now manufactures both battery cells and battery packs completely in-house, which is a first for any Indian EV manufacturer.
Ola now has the entire process of making its batteries instead of buying them from outside. This will help improve performance, reduce costs in the long run and ensure better reliability for customers.
The first model to roll out with the new technology is the Ola S1 Pro+, which is equipped with a powerful 5.2 kWh 4680 Bharat Cell battery pack. On paper, these new batteries promise higher efficiency and better long-term durability.

Paired with a 13 kW electric motor, the S1 Pro+ delivers better real-world performance, as Ola claims the scooter can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.1 seconds, which puts it among the quickest electric scooters in the country.
It also boasts a claimed 320 km riding range under IDC testing when used in DIY mode. Riders can switch between four riding modes which are Hyper, Sport, Normal and Eco, based on speed, comfort or battery-saving needs. For safety, the scooter gets dual ABS and disc brakes on both wheels.
Ola has also updated the scooter’s styling and the new S1 Pro+ features two-tone seat, body-coloured ORVMs, die-cast aluminium grab handle and stylish rim decals.
Customers can choose from several colours, including Passion Red, Porcelain White, Industrial Silver, Jet Black, Stellar Blue and Midnight Blue. These upgrades make the scooter look more premium while keeping its everyday practicality intact.
