BMW Motorrad has finally pulled the wraps off the much-awaited F450 GS, just a day before its official EICMA 2025 debut. The new middleweight ADV marks BMW’s return to the sub-500cc adventure segment,
replacing the popular G310 GS. Presented by BMW Motorrad CEO Markus Flasch, the F450 GS arrives as a production-ready model that looks every bit as exciting as its concept version from last year.
Powering the new F450 GS is a fresh 450cc parallel-twin engine that produces 48 hp. The bike features an aggressive new design, complete with a sharp front fairing, X-shaped LED DRL, projector LED headlamp, and golden upside-down forks. BMW will likely offer the F450 GS in multiple variants. The top-spec trim is expected to feature wire-spoke wheels with tubeless tyres, while the standard versions could come with alloys. Both get a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup.

Built around a steel trellis frame with a bolt-on subframe, the F450 GS's suspension setup includes an upside-down fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear, with disc brakes on both ends. The bike reportedly weighs around 175 kg, though BMW hasn’t confirmed whether that’s dry or kerb weight.
One of the most interesting bits is the expected inclusion of a semi-automatic transmission lighter, a cost-effective version of BMW’s Automated Shift Assistant. It could allow riders to switch between a fully automatic ‘D’ mode and a manual ‘M’ mode using the standard gear lever.
