Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the updated Suzuki Burgman Street in India, with prices starting at around Rs 1.02 lakh (ex-showroom) and going up to Rs 1.13 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec TFT variant. That matters because this isn’t a complete overhaul, but a measured update to a scooter that already sells on comfort and everyday usability. The changes focus more on features and convenience than performance. For buyers, the question isn’t what’s new, but whether these updates are enough in a segment that’s getting increasingly feature-driven.
Design And Features - Subtle Changes That Matter
At first glance, the new Burgman Street doesn’t look drastically different, and that’s intentional. The maxi-scooter styling stays, with minor tweaks to keep it from feeling dated.
The real updates
sit in the features list. The digital instrument cluster now supports Bluetooth connectivity through Suzuki Ride Connect, offering turn-by-turn navigation, call alerts along with basic vehicle information.
You also get LED lighting, a USB charging port and around 21.5 litres of underseat storage, all of which directly impact daily usability. The EX variant adds features like engine start-stop which are for improving efficiency in traffic.
Engine And Hardware - No Surprises Here
Mechanically, nothing major has changed. The Burgman continues with its 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing roughly 8.31 hp and 10.2 Nm.
The focus remains on smoothness and ease of riding rather than performance. It’s tuned for city use, with enough power for occasional highway runs but clearly not built for aggressive riding.
Hardware stays familiar too. Telescopic front forks, a rear monoshock, front disc brake, and rear drum setup continue. The lightweight build, around 110 kg, keeps it manageable in daily traffic conditions.

What This Update Means For Buyers
This update feels less like a refresh and more like fine-tuning. Suzuki hasn’t changed what the Burgman is, it has simply added what buyers now expect.
At around Rs 1.02 lakh, it remains on the higher side of the 125cc scooter segment. That means buyers will compare it closely with feature-rich alternatives. But the Burgman still holds its ground with comfort, relaxed ergonomics, and a slightly more premium feel.
The takeaway is simple. If you already liked the Burgman, this version just adds a few modern touches. If you’re looking for something dramatically different, this update won’t change your decision.
