Starting with a full tank, the Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI covered 2,831 km across multiple countries like Poland, Germany, France, and Belgium without refuelling. At the end of the journey the car still had usable remaining fuel, confirming the feat under supervised conditions. The route covered highways, rural roads and varying terrain, making it more relevant than a purely controlled lab test. Certification by Guinness confirms the accuracy of the mileage claimed.
Skoda Superb Diesel: Efficiency Achieved
During the run, the Superb averaged 2.61 litres per 100 km, which works out to roughly 38–39 km/l, depending on conversion. This is substantially better than the model’s official WLTP combined figure of around 4.8 litres/100 km. The vehicle used standard equipment with a 2.0-litre TDI engine rated at 147.5 hp and 360 Nm of torque, coupled with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The large 66-litre tank, the front-wheel-drive layout, and good aerodynamics all helped achieve the distance.

The car used was a fourth-generation Skoda Superb in the standard Essence trim and featured 16-inch wheels. No major powertrain modifications were made.
