Following the GST 2.0 tax overhaul, Porsche India has reduced the ex-showroom prices on all its internal combustion engine cars. Buyers can save up to Rs 14 lakh. These price cuts come before the new tax regime comes into effect from September 22, 2025. These latest price cuts vary depending on the model and the Cayenne GTS gets the biggest drop. Porsche India said these changes fit with the new GST rates and the removal of the compensation cess for luxury cars. Yet, electric models like the Taycan and Macan EV are not part of these cuts and will keep their current prices.

The 911 Carrera 4 GTS has a smaller reduction of approximately about Rs 6 lakh. IC Macan too sees a price drop of near about 6 lakhs, which brings it to very close to Rs 90 Lakh. What Buyers Should Know?
New ex-showroom prices will take effect from September 22, 2025. State level road tax, registration fee, and other local levies are not part of this price, which can vary from state to state and affect the total on-road price. One must keep in mind that electric Porsche models do not fall under this price reduction and remain at their previous prices. All prospective buyers should check with dealers for final on-road quotes to know their actual savings.

Why The Cuts Happened?
With the entry of GST 2.0, the compensation cess has been done away with and passenger vehicles have seen a restructuring of tax slabs. Luxury cars find place in a slab of 40% GST but removal of cess means that for quite many internal combustion engine (ICE) models overall tax burden has come down. This enables the manufacturers to reduce ex-showroom prices by passing on those savings to customers.
