The Tata Tiago Facelift has been revealed before its upcoming launch in India on May 28, 2026. As one of the most successful hatchbacks for the brand, the Tiago has carved a strong image for itself among budget-conscious car buyers in India who want value-for-money. The revised model for 2026 is anticipated to maintain that appeal, with a more sharper design compared to earlier. For the buyers looking to buy the new Tata Tiago hatchback in India, here's a closer look at what has changed in the new facelift.
Tata Tiago Facelift: What's New?
Tata has finally given a more thorough refresh to the Tiago, and a result, the hatch now looks more sharper. It adheres to the brand's latest design language and now shares a stronger visual connection with the Tata Altroz, which adds to its
more premium and mature road presence. Upfront, the changes are maximum. The headlamps are now more slimmer and they have full-LED units along with integrated LED daytime running lights. The grille and bumper (a blacked-out treatment to the lower section) have also undergone changes. There are compact fog lamps sitting on either side of the bumper. And, Tata has added a few sporty touches (a contrasting black roof, black ORVMs and a shark fin antenna) across the body to make the hatch look more enhanced, aggressive and contemporary than before. A new set of dual-tone alloy wheels as well as bright red exterior shade, similar to the one offered on the Altroz, are also part of the updated Tiago hatchback.
On the rear-end, the changes are also worth noticing. For instance, the taillamps create the illusion of a connected light bar, although they are not actually joined together. Moreover, the rear bumper and tailgate design have a mix of horizontal and vertical styling elements.
Tata Tiago Facelift Interior
Tata Motors has not yet revealed the interior of the facelifted Tiago. That said, the cabin is likely to be more modern than before due to addition of several new features, such as an updated touchscreen infotainment system, new upholstery, and a revamped instrument cluster.
Tata Tiago Facelift Engine
The Tata Tiago, in its updated avatar, is unlikely to see any modifications in the engine. It will likely continue with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. Transmission choices are also expected to be the same, including both manual and automatic gearbox options. Tata is also likely to offer the CNG option on the Tiago.
