Ducati has added a new variant to its Hypermotard Mono family abroad called the Mono Nera. The bike is an aggressive and more visually sharper blacked-out Mono ever made. It positioned as the flagship version of Ducati’s high-performance single-cylinder supermoto, and has a stealth-inspired styling with premium track-focused hardware offered as standard. The motorcycle will hit European showrooms in June 2026, with a starting price pegged at €13,990 (around Rs 15.64 lakh). While Ducati India has not yet confirmed the bike's launch, the brand is expected to consider bringing the dark-themed variant to the here by late 2026 or early 2027. Currently, the standard Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono is sold in India as a CBU import at an ex-showroom price starting from
Rs 17.63 lakh. Here's a closer look at what the newly introduced darkest Hypermotard 698 Nera brings to the table.
Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera Design
The new Ducati bike shows us how the dark and a more aggressive version of the standard Hypermotard 698 Mono looks like. It gets a stealth-inspired appearance, which includes a black bodywork contrasted with red accents across the wheels, frame. The sporty appeal is increased with the black-finished Termignoni silencers. Ducati has also equipped the Nera edition with premium cycle parts and Ducati Quick Shift as standard.
Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera Engine
The Mono Nera draws power from the brand's advanced 659cc Superquadro Mono engine. The single-cylinder motor uses Desmodromic valve timing and several lightweight internal components inspired by Ducati’s high-performance twin-cylinder engines. It churns out a maximum power of 77.5hp and has the ability to rev beyond 10,000rpm.
Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera Features And Electronics
The Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera comes equipped with Cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control, Power Launch, and Ducati Quick Shift Up/Down. It also features Slide-by-Brake function, which enable riders to have controlled rear-wheel slides during aggressive riding conditions.

The bike tips the scales at just 151 kg (without fuel). It is underpinned by a lightweight trellis frame, and has aluminium-intensive components, and compact chassis setup. Buyers can customise their Mono Nera through Ducati Performance accessories, including racing footpegs, billet-machined parts, upgraded seats, and other track-focused components.
