Another teaser of the Nissan Tekton SUV has been released ahead of its debut on July 9, 2026. While it is not starkly different from the previous one, the new mid-size SUV is confirmed to be inspired by the internationally sold Patrol SUV. Nissan has kept the majority of the details undisclosed, but the upcoming mid-size SUV is expected to share its platform with the new-gen Duster SUV. Here's a closer look at what buyers can expect from the upcoming Nissan Tekton.
Nissan Tekton Front Design: All You Need To Know
The most recent teaser shows the front end of the Tekton, which looks bold and upright and has styling cues borrowed from the bigger Patrol SUV. It features a wide grille with horizontal slats and a full-width illuminated red light strip. There's a Nissan logo in the middle, and a Tekton badge
on the bonnet. Other key highlights include hidden rear door handles integrated into the C-pillars, C-shaped LED taillamps, and multi-spoke alloy wheels, squared wheel arches, a high shoulder line, and a sculpted tailgate.
Nissan Tekton SUV Other Expected Key Details
Nissan has not revealed the interior, but the Tekton is likely to sport a large touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, wireless Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay, and multiple USB charging ports. While Nissan has not confirmed engine specifications, industry reports indicate that petrol and hybrid powertrains (similar to the Duster) could be offered. The all-new Duster is based on Renault Group Modular Platform (RGMP). Currently, it can be had with either a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that generates 99bhp and a more potent 1.3-litre turbo-petrol that makes 161 bhp. Both get a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard, while the bigger unit is also offered with a 6-speed DCT automatic. A strong-hybrid option will join the lineup most likely by Diwali 2026.
As of now, Nissan has not confirmed the launch timeline for the Tekton in India. However, the brand is expected to announce its prices by the end of the year. More details, including the complete design, interior, and powertrain options, are likely to be revealed closer to the debut.
