The two luxury cars with very different personalities are all set to go on sale in India. The first one will be the updated S-Class facelift on June 15, 2026. Mercedes-Benz is said to have sharpened and made its sedan more aggressive with a few notable design tweaks and a new plug-in hybrid powertrain. Mini is set to launch the new Countryman C on June 17. The model will expand the Countryman's portfolio with a more affordable petrol-based option. While these two are meant for different market segments and buyers, they promise meaningful upgrades. Mercedes-Benz S-Class Facelift
The flagship Mercedes-Benz limousine is expected to be sharper than before. It is said to come with an S 450e
version with EQ hybrid setup, which consists of a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol inline-six engine with an electric motor. They make a combined output of 435hp and 680Nm. A 22kWh battery is claimed to offer up to 100 kilometres of all-electric range. The car claims to do a 0 to 100km/h sprint in 5.7 seconds. Alongside the plug-in hybrid, the all-new S-Class is expected to keep the S 450 mild-hybrid petrol and the S 350d diesel variants.
Among other additions are a larger illuminated grille, redesigned bumpers, new alloy wheel designs, and updated LED headlamps with the Digital Light technology, and slimmer taillamps. The model could fetch a starting price of Rs 2 crore (ex-showroom).
Mini Countryman C
The new Countryman C will sit beneath the performance-oriented John Cooper Works (JCW) version in the model range. It is expected to have a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This setup could generate 136hp of maximum power and 230Nm of peak torque.

As for the styling, the Countryman C looks the same, albeit with a few noticeable changes. These are a revised front grille and updated bumpers. It will be offered in five exterior colours, including Chilli Red, British Racing Green, Nanuq White, Slate Blue and Smokey Green. Other major attractions include champagne-finished exterior highlights, body-coloured door handles, black ORVMs and roof, new alloy wheels and signature matrix LED tail-lamps. The Mini SUV is likely to ask for a slightly above Rs 58 lakh (ex-showroom)
