The Tata Tiago EV has been updated for 2026, and it is now priced at Rs 6.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). Tata is also offering a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan, which has reduced the starting price to Rs 4.69 lakh, with battery rental charges from Rs 2.6 per kilometres onwards. The electric hatchback has received an improved exterior and a more feature-focused cabin. Tata has tried to make the Tiago EV feel more premium with a 360-degree camera. This safety feature is rare to find in budget cars. The Tiago EV has been launched alongside the Tiago ICE and CNG variants, which are priced at Rs 4.69 lakh and Rs 5.79 lakh, respectively. Both are starting and introductory ex-showroom prices. The most recent update for all three Tiagos in India
comes at a time when budget cars are showing up and garnering attention among the SUVs with their improved features. The Tiago has always been a popular moniker for Tata, with over 75,000 users and 2.3 billion kilometres driven so far. The most recent update is anticipated to add to that recognition. Read on to know what's new on the Tiago EV 2026.
2026 Tata Tiago EV: Design
The Tata EV's nose is now wider, thanks to eyebrow-style daytime running lamps. The LED headlamps are much sleeker compared to earlier ones, and the grille is closed off with a body-colour finish. The bumper is completely new with black vertical inserts. The rear is where Tata has made the boldest changes in the form of a new connected LED taillamp with a gloss-black accent spanning the width of the boot lid. There is also a redesigned bumper at the rear that freshens up the overall look considerably. Other highlights include a new spoiler, aerodynamic alloy wheels, Tata.ev badge on doors, a shark fin antenna and gloss black-coloured ORVMs. The EV is available in six colour options, including Pangong Pulse, Matheran Monsoon, Dehradun Dew, Sobo Surge, Pure Grey and Pristine White.

The new Tiago EV looks modern from the inside, compared to earlier. Tata has changed the dashboard to make it look cleaner and has used better materials. It has also added some texture to make it look even nicer. The Tiago EV has the two-colour theme (black and grey), and it looks very polished. Tata has made some modern and meaningful changes in the form of a new floating-style screen setup. It has also added its two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata.ev logo.
Features-wise, the hatchback has gained a 360-degree camera with multiple viewing modes and rear AC vents. It now also offers over 40 connected car functions, auto-folding ORVMs, cruise control, a front armrest, wireless Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. Tata has also redesigned the centre console to improve storage and usability inside the cabin. For safety, the new Tiago EV now comes with six airbags as standard, TPMS, ESP, hill hold assist, and traction control.
