Tesla has officially started the deliveries of its much-awaited Model Y in India in just two months after its launch in July 2025. This milestone marks a moment for India’s electric car market, as one of the world’s most popular EVs is now reaching Indian customers’ homes.
The Tesla Model Y is not just another car, but it is the world’s best-selling EV in 2023 and 2024 and in India, it comes in two versions:
- Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) with 500 km driving range
- Long Range RWD with 622 km driving range
Both the trims can touch a top speed of 201 km/h, while the Long Range variant sprints from 0–100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds and the prices start at Rs 59.89 lakh, going up to Rs 67.89 lakh for the Long Range.

To make charging hassle-free, Tesla is giving every new customer a complimentary Wall Connector and this device can be installed at home
or office parking, letting customers easily charge their machine to rev on the road without hustle. No more frequent fuel station visits, you just need to plug in at night, and you are ready to go in the morning.

Charging Network in India
Tesla has also opened its first Supercharging stations in Mumbai and Delhi. These fast chargers can top up the Tesla Model Y quickly and making long drives stress-free.
- Mumbai (One BKC): 4 fast DC Superchargers and 4 AC Destination Chargers
- Delhi (Aerocity): 4 DC Superchargers and 3 AC Destination Chargers
Test Drives & Experience Centers
For those who wants to try their hands on the Model Y, Tesla has opened Experience Centers in Mumbai and Delhi. Customers or auto enthusiasts can book test drives online and experience the car’s technology-filled interiors and smooth performance.
