KTM 390 Adventure, Adventure X Get Post-Festive Price Hike - Here’s What’s Changed

KTM has revised prices for its popular adventure duo, the 390 Adventure and the 390 Adventure X, in India. Coming right after the festive rush, both models have become noticeably more expensive. The standard

390 Adventure now carries a price tag of Rs 3.95 lakh, while the Adventure X is priced at Rs 3.26 lakh (ex-showroom).

The price increase is fairly significant; the Adventure X sees a hike of Rs 22,410, and the standard model goes up by Rs 27,000. The move follows a brief period when KTM had actually absorbed the GST 2.0 impact. When the government introduced the revised GST structure, pushing the tax rate on motorcycles above 350cc to 40%, KTM chose not to transfer the additional burden to customers. That decision turned out to be a smart one, helping the Austrian manufacturer record strong sales during the Diwali season.

However, that price protection seems to have been temporary. With the festive boom now over, KTM has quietly adjusted prices upward, bringing the models in line with the increased costs. As things stand, the Adventure X now sits dangerously close to the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 in terms of pricing. Meanwhile, the fully loaded 390 Adventure’s price makes it one of the most expensive motorcycles in its class.

Underneath, the duo shares the same heart, a 398.63cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 46 hp at 8,500 rpm and 39 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch. Both offer 200 mm of front and 205 mm of rear suspension travel.

The standard 390 Adventure weighs 182 kg and gets a seat height of 830 mm, while the X variant is slightly lighter at 181 kg and sits lower at 825 mm. Despite the higher prices, KTM’s adventure twins remain among the most performance-focused ADVs in the sub-400cc segment.
