India’s SUV market is heating up as automakers gear up to launch a rush of fresh models, blending bold design with advanced tech. Key launches on the horizon include the iconic Tata Sierra revival, the next-gen Renault Duster for 2026, Mahindra’s electric XEV 9S, the Nissan Tekton and the all-new electric Maruti Suzuki e‑Vitara. Tata Sierra Revival
The Tata Sierra iconic SUV returns after a long hiatus in a modern avatar, set to debut next month with the ICE version first, followed by EV variants later. The new Sierra retains a boxy, upright design

Mahindra XEV 9S
Mahindra's upcoming XEV 9S is an all-electric, three-row SUV developed on its INGLO skateboard platform and scheduled for launch on 27 November 2025. Expected to start in the Rs 25–30 lakh range (ex-showroom), it brings premium tech like a triple-screen dashboard, sliding second-row seats, panoramic sunroof, and advanced connectivity. As Mahindra’s push into EVs deepens, the XEV 9S will be a key model targeting families that want both space and sustainability.
Maruti e Vitara
Maruti Suzuki is set to launch its first electric SUV, the e-Vitara, in December 2025, priced around Rs 17-25 lakh ex-showroom. Offered with battery packs of 49 kWh and 61 kWh and slated to deliver over 500 km of claimed range, it will be Maruti’s first EV aimed at the mainstream SUV buyer.
2026 Renault Duster
The next-generation Renault Duster is officially confirmed to make its India debut on 26 January, 2026. Built on Renault’s global CMF-B architecture, the new Duster aims to combine rugged SUV characteristics with enhanced refinement. The specification details remain under wraps, but the model promises to challenge the current crop of midsize crossovers through a blend of value and capability.

Nissan Tekton
