Maruti Suzuki has disclosed its sales performance details for January 2026. The brand reported a 12% YoY growth for the said month, with a total sales of about 2.37 lakh units. This was a very significant
achievement for the company as it marked Maruti Suzuki's best-ever monthly sales performance. The sales increase for the month of January was largely driven by high demand for models such as the Swift, Brezza, Dzire and Baleno. These continued to anchor the domestic portfolio of the company. Apart from the domestic growth, substantial contribution came in from exports, which also reached all-time high for the month. Maruti Suzuki: Domestic Sales Performance In January 2026
Maruti Suzuki’s domestic passenger vehicle sales formed the bulk of its January 2026 performance. The company dispatched a total of over 1.78 lakh units. These comprised passenger vehicles as well as light CVs. Hatchbacks and compact models continued to account for the highest contribution. The Swift (17,806 units) and Dzire (19,629 units) remained among the brand’s top-selling nameplates and benefitted from their positioning as fuel-efficient and affordable options for buyers. The Brezza (17,486 units) led the company’s SUV portfolio. It sustained the demand in the compact SUV segment.
Maruti Suzuki: Export Figures
Exports were another key contributor to Maruti Suzuki’s January 2026 performance. As already mentioned, the shipments reaching a record high for a single month, with a total of 51,020 units. Last year, during the same time, it had shipped 27,100 units.
So, all in all, the balanced mix of domestic and export demand helped Maruti Suzuki achieve its highest ever monthly sales figure.
