The new SUV will be positioned in the highly competitive mid-size segment, taking on the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Victoris, Tata Curvv, MG Astor, and Volkswagen Taigun. It will measure around 4.3 metres in length and is expected to offer a tough, upright stance inspired by Nissan’s flagship Patrol SUV. Early prototypes have revealed a bold design with strong proportions and SUV-oriented detailing.

Under the hood, Nissan is expected to offer multiple powertrain choices. The initial range is likely to include a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine, while a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol motor; currently used in the Magnite, could power the entry-level variants. Transmission options could include both manual and CVT automatic gearboxes.
