KTM has given its 250 Duke a small update in international markets by introducing two new colour options. While this bike remains mechanically unchanged, the fresh paint schemes add a new visual appeal. For Indian bike enthusiasts the good news is that these new colours are likely to arrive in India soon.
What’s New?
This update is purely cosmetic, which means there are no changes to the engine, frame, suspension or brakes. The two new colour options include a new Silver shade and a revised Ebony Black scheme.
Silver Colour Scheme
The newly introduced Silver colour has a clean and muted appearance as it features a soft silver finish combined with dark grey KTM branding on the tank extensions. Unlike the traditional KTM look, orange elements are used very sparingly here and are limited to small accents near the edges of the tank shrouds. This colour is similar in style to the Silver Metallic finish seen on earlier-generation Duke 250 models which offers a more premium look compared to KTM’s usual loud colour themes. Also Read: Hero MotoCorp To Bring ADAS Safety In Two Wheelers Soon - Details
Ebony Black Scheme
The second update is a revised version of the Ebony Black colour, which is already available in India. However, the international model now gets orange detailing around the headlamp area, which makes the front of the bike look sharper and more aggressive. Apart from this change at the front, the rest of the motorcycle retains the same black colour layout seen on the current Indian version. What has not changed?
Mechanically, the KTM 250 Duke stays exactly the same and it continues to use a 249.7cc, liquid-cooled,
single-cylinder engine that produces around 30.5 bhp of power and 25 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The bike is built on a steel trellis frame, a KTM trademark, and uses WP Apex suspension at the front and rear. Braking is handled by a 320 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc, with Bybre callipers that ensure strong stopping power.
India Launch - What to Expect?
KTM has not officially announced when these new colour options will arrive in India. However, based on KTM’s usual update pattern, the refreshed colour schemes are expected to reach Indian showrooms in the coming future. Since the update is limited to paint changes, no price hike is expected.
