Mercedes-Benz India is due to resurrect the CLA model line in India soon but this time around, the entry-level coupe will arrive in an all-electric avatar. The new 2025 CLA Electric was globally introduced a few months back and will re-enter the Indian market as a CBU import soon. Ahead of its arrival, the CLA Electric has recently scored a 5-star crash safety rating in European markets and here are all the details you need to know about the e-coupe.

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250+ AMG Line has scored a 5-star crash safety rating at the Euro NCAP crash tests. The electric coupe scored 94 percent in adult occupant protection and 89 percent in child occupant protection.
Other parameters show 93 percent in vulnerable road user protection and an 85 percent score in Safety Assist protection systems.
The new CLA features high-performance airbags, including knee and center airbags, Level 2 ADAS safety functions and other features as part of its extensive safety suite. Additionally, the CLA 250+ AMG Line features an 85 kWh battery pack that gives a claimed WLTP range of 792 km on a full charge.
This is relevant for Mercedes-Benz customers in India as the CLA electric is due to arrive in the country in its 250+ configuration as a full-import soon. The more powerful CLA 350 4MATIC with a 260 kW motor may be launched alongside the 250+ as well. When launched, the CLA Electric is expected to be priced between the Rs 55 to Rs 60 lakh mark.
When it arrives in India, the CLA Electric will expand the Mercedes-Benz entry-level electric portfolio that currently offers the EQA compact SUV. The EQA 250+ electric SUV comes with a 70.5 kWh battery pack and gets a claimed WLTP range of up to 560 km. Prices for the e-SUV start from Rs 67.20 lakh ex-showroom. The CLA is expected to offer a more exciting gateway into the Mercedes-Benz EV segment.
