TVS Motor Company has launched the all-new Ntorq 150 in India, marking its entry into the 150cc scooter space. Around the same time, Hero MotoCorp rolled out the Xoom 160, its most powerful scooter yet. With the implementation of GST 2.0, prices for both models have dropped, making them more accessible to buyers. The TVS Ntorq 150 is offered in two variants. The standard version is priced at Rs 1.09 lakh, while the top-end TFT version comes in at Rs 1.18 lakh (ex-showroom). Hero, on the other hand, sells the Xoom 160 in a single ZX variant priced at Rs 1.36 lakh (ex-showroom). The difference

Powering the Ntorq 150 is a 149.7cc single-cylinder, 3-valve engine with O3C technology. It produces 13.2 hp at 7000 rpm and 14.2 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. The Hero Xoom 160 uses a slightly larger 156cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve SOHC engine that develops 14.6 bhp at 8000 rpm and 14 Nm at 6250 rpm.

The TVS Ntorq 150 measures 1861 mm in length, 740 mm in width, and 1120 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1285 mm. It weighs 115 kg and offers a seat height of 770 mm with a 5.8-litre fuel tank. The Hero Xoom 160 is larger and heavier at 1983 mm in length, 839 mm in width, and 1214 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1348 mm and a kerb weight of 142 kg. The Ntorq 150 features telescopic front forks and a rear coil spring with hydraulic dampers. It gets a 220 mm front disc and a 130 mm rear drum brake. Tyre sizes are 100/80-12 at the front and 110/80-12 at the rear. In comparison, the Xoom 160 uses telescopic hydraulic front suspension with dual rear shocks. It rides on larger 14-inch wheels wrapped in 120/70 front and 140/60 rear tyres, offering better stability.
