Tata Motors has released another teaser video, this time, teasing the interior of the upcoming Punch facelift, ahead of its India launch on January 13. The teaser confirms that the Punch facelift will
receive notable cabin upgrades, focusing on updated design, improved technology and added comfort features. Since its launch, the Punch has been positioned as a practical compact SUV, and the facelift appears aimed at strengthening its appeal in a competitive segment. Alongside interior updates, Tata has already confirmed mechanical changes, indicating that the upcoming model will be more than just a cosmetic refresh.

Tata Punch Facelift: Redesigned Dashboard And Larger Touchscreen
The official teaser video showcases a revised dashboard layout for the Tata Punch facelift. A larger floating touchscreen infotainment system is clearly visible, replacing the smaller display used in the current version. The new unit is expected to support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The centre console layout appears cleaner, with updated air-conditioning controls and revised trim elements. A fully digital instrument cluster is also expected, which marks a significant upgrade over the existing semi-digital setup.
Tata Punch Facelift: New Steering Wheel And Seat Comfort Updates
We expect the updated model to adorn a new two-spoke steering wheel, featuring Tata’s illuminated logo, a design already seen on newer Tata models. Steering-mounted controls may also be updated. The teaser hints at revised seat upholstery and cushioning. Reports suggest that the Punch facelift could get improved thigh support for the front seats, similar to what is offered on larger Tata SUVs, aimed at enhancing long-distance comfort.
Tata Punch Facelift: Expected Features And Safety Equipment
Feature additions are expected to be a key highlight of the Punch facelift. Higher variants are likely to offer push-button start, automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera and connected car technology. Safety is expected to remain a strong focus, with multiple airbags, electronic stability control, ISOFIX child seat mounts and rear parking sensors likely to be offered, depending on the variant. Final feature distribution will be confirmed at launch.

Tata Punch Facelift: Powertrain Update And Launch Timeline
In addition to interior changes, Tata has confirmed that the Punch facelift will introduce a new turbo-petrol engine option, expanding the model’s powertrain lineup beyond the existing naturally aspirated petrol engine. Transmission options are expected to include manual and AMT gearboxes. Complete specifications, variant-wise features as well as pricing details will be officially revealed at the India launch on January 13.
