While the higher AX7L variant benefits from the Level 2 ADAS safety system, the entry-level AX5 variant also covers safety on all fronts. It gets 6 airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, ESP, EPB and more. Considering that the XUV 3XO ICE version has a 5-star crash safety rating from Bharat NCAP, we can expect a similar result for the new EV version as well.
Coming to the drivetrain specifications, the good news for buyers is that it remains the same across both variants of the 3XO EV. It comes with a 39.4 kWh battery pack that gives it a real-world range of 285 km, as claimed by the carmaker. The front-wheel-drive electric motor gives it a power output of 147 hp and 310 Nm of torque and it also comes with three driving modes, called Fun, Fast and Fearless.
Other noteworthy equipment that comes standard in the 3XO EV includes FDD suspension, all-disc brakes, 190 mm ground clearance, a 364-litre boot capacity and six colour options. Most importantly, the XUV 3XO AX5 offers the long-range battery and drivetrain specification from the XUV400 EV's top-end variant as standard and costs Rs 13.89 lakh ex-showroom.
