Citroën has officially revealed the ELO concept, which is a fresh and futuristic idea of what everyday mobility could look like. ELO is like a tiny electric minivan that works like a moving room, one that adjusts to your lifestyle instead of forcing you to adjust to it.
Unveiled ahead of its world debut at the Brussels Motor Show on January 9, the ELO concept is Citroën’s newest “laboratory on wheels,” following the earlier OLI concept shown in 2022. Built to inspire the brand’s future cars, ELO blends bold design, clever engineering and a focus on comfort and sustainability.
It is 4.10 metres long and is actually very compact on the outside. But it can actually seat up to six people, due to smart packaging and a 100% electric platform. Citroën
has treated the cabin like an adaptable living space, which is something between a tiny house and a mobile lounge.

Through intelligent design, sliding components and modular seats, ELO can become a commuting vehicle with a centrally placed driver’s seat, a meeting or work space with the driver’s seat turning around, a relaxation zone for weekend hangouts, a home cinema, a sleeping space for two and a carry-all vehicle for families and friends. This is what the brand calls “REST, PLAY, WORK,” which is also what the name ELO refers to.
Citroën says the ELO is not just a car but a partner for everyday living. As lifestyles around the world change, more remote work, more urban living, more short trips, the company wants mobility to evolve with people. That’s why ELO focuses heavily on space and comfort, flexibility, easy urban driving, simple electric architecture and sustainability.
To bring this to life, Citroën joined hands with Decathlon for durable, innovative interior materials inspired by sports and outdoor gear, and Goodyear, which developed special “smart tyres” that are strong, efficient and suited for outdoor activities.
ELO looks modern and lively, with a fun, colourful design that aims to spread positive energy. The high visibility provided by the large 180° windscreen and the driver’s seating position also gives a futuristic feel.
Inside ELO, everything has been designed to be functional, playful and welcoming. The materials are technically advanced yet sustainable, matching Citroën’s long-term goal of making mobility lighter, smarter and cleaner.
ELO represents Citroën’s vision of mobility for fast-changing modern lives, especially for young families, creative professionals and urban explorers who need one vehicle to do many things.
