If the Tata Sierra has struck your imagination, then it would be useful for you to know that the carmaker is bringing the SUV to market in seven different variants to choose from. These are called the Smart Plus,
Pure, Pure Plus, Adventure, Adventure Plus, Accomplished and Accomplished Plus. The carmaker has announced the starting price for the SUV to be at Rs 11.49 lakh ex-showroom.
While the base Smart Plus variant will appeal to the budget-conscious buyer who is looking for something bigger than a compact SUV, it will be the middle variant of the Sierra that will hit the value-for-money mark. In the existing variant lineup, that would be the Adventure variant for the Sierra.
Sierra Adventure Variant Confirmed Specifications:
While the design, dimensions, LED lighting and other elements will remain largely the same as higher models, the Sierra Adventure will get 17-inch alloy wheels instead of the top model's 19-inch wheels. The other big difference would be inside the cabin, where the triple screen setup would be replaced by a dual-screen unit, which looks equally attractive, minus the passenger entertainment display. In terms of engine options, the Sierra Adventure will be available with the 1.5-litre Revotron non-turbo petrol engine and the 1.5-litre Kryojet CRDi diesel engine option. The petrol engine will be available in both a 6-speed automatic and a manual transmission, while the diesel will only get the option of a manual in the Adventure variant. In terms of colours, five out of six colour options will be available to buyers of the Sierra Adventure variant, with only the Andaman Adventure yellow shade being unavailable.
Sierra Adventure Variant Expected Feature List:
While Tata Motors is yet to announce a detailed features list and price for the Sierra Adventure variant, the following expectations would give you a fair idea of what to expect. While 22 standard safety features, including 6 airbags, are a given, other features in the Adventure variant will most likely include the dual 10.25-inch displays, an 8-speaker audio system, full LED headlamps, automatic climate control, push-button start-stop, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cooled glove box and more. You can also expect this variant to get cruise control, autofold ORVMs and most importantly, the panoramic sunroof among several other features.
While Tata Motors is yet to announce the full price list for all the Sierra variants, the Adventure trim lies in the centre of the lineup and offers both petrol, diesel engines with the option of an automatic or manual. This would make the Adventure variant accessible to those who are looking for a well-appointed SUV that offers both practicality and bragging rights.
