Kia India has added two new top-of-the-line variants to the Kia Seltos lineup: the GTX(O) and X-Line(O). These are priced from Rs 21.57 lakh (ex-showroom). This latest development from Kia matters to buyers who are already comparing fully-loaded compact SUVs because these two variants bring an expanded 28-feature ADAS package along with built-in navigation, a head-up display as well as a dashcam to a segment where most rivals still charge extra for these items or don't offer them at all. Read on to learn what's new.
What New Features Do These Variants Actually Add?
The headline addition is the ADAS F+ package with 28 advanced driver assistance features. This is an upgrade from what existing Seltos variants already carry. The expanded list includes junction-crossing collision avoidance, lane-change-side
and lane-change-oncoming collision alerts, evasive steering assist and highway driving assist, on top of the usual forward collision warning and lane-keeping functions.
Beyond safety, both variants get a Connected Car Navigation Cockpit with voice commands across select regional languages, a Digital Key, a windshield-projected head-up display, a Smart Air Purifier with AQI display, a front and rear dashcam controllable via a mobile app, rain-sensing wipers and one-touch auto up/down for all four power windows with a safety function. Kia Connect 2.0 with 85-plus connected features is also included.
What's the Price and Which Engine Do You Get?
The Kia Seltos GTX(O) and X-Line(O) start at Rs 21.57 lakh (ex-showroom) and are available with both the turbo-petrol and diesel powertrain options, so buyers aren't locked into a single engine to get the top trim. The rest of the Seltos lineup continues from Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This gives the range a wide enough spread to cover both entry-level and premium buyers.
The two new variants now sit as the definitive top-of-range options above the existing GTX trims. That positions them squarely against top-spec variants of the Hyundai Creta, Tata Sierra, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and the recently launched Kia Seltos rival, the Duster where fully loaded prices run similar or higher.
If you're deciding whether to wait or book, the relevant question is whether this ADAS F+ package and the dashcam-plus-HUD combination are features you'd have otherwise paid extra for as dealer accessories because factored that way, the price premium over the standard GTX is fairly thin.
