India’s electric SUV race is getting hotter day by day as alot of people are switching to EVs from ICE and two coupe-style SUVs are leading the market buzz – the Mahindra BE 6 and the Tata Curvv EV. Both
the cars look sleek, modern, and high-tech, but they aim at very different consumers. So, if you’re wondering which one is right for you, let’s look at the specifications.
Design
The Mahindra BE 6 looks like something straight out of a sci-fi movie, as the design is bold, futuristic, and aggressive. Its “spaceship-like” design steals the attention.
The Tata Curvv EV, on the other hand, takes a softer, more conventional approach. It still looks stylish with coupe-like curves and lines, but it’s more subtle and familiar compared to Mahindra’s edgy futuristic look.
Performance & Range
This is where Mahindra flexes its machine, as the BE 6 packs bigger batteries like 59 kWh and 79 kWh, which gives up to 682 km range (ARAI). Its electric motor produces 286 PS power and 380 Nm torque with rear-wheel drive. This SUV is faster, stronger and highway-ready.
The Tata Curvv EV plays it smart and city-friendly, with 45 kWh and 55 kWh battery packs, it delivers up to 502 km range (ARAI) and the power tops out at 167 PS and 215 Nm torque with front-wheel drive. This one easier for everyday commuting.
Charging
The BE 6 charges fast which is 20–80% in just 20 minutes on a 180kW charger. That is almost half the time compared to the Curvv EV, which takes 40 minutes at 70kW.
