BMW India has officially announced the start of pre-bookings for the new-generation BMW X3 30 xDrive, marking an important moment for luxury SUV buyers in the country. Pre-bookings will open on January 30, 2026, at 12:30 pm, ahead of the SUV’s official India launch scheduled for February 16, 2026. For many buyers, the BMW X3 has long been a popular entry point into the brand’s SUV line-up, and this new version promises to take things a step further.
BMW has confirmed that the upcoming X3 30 xDrive will be offered in a single variant in India—the M Sport Professional. This means buyers will get a fully loaded version with sporty styling and premium features as standard, without having to choose between multiple trims. One key detail that will matter to Indian customers is that the new BMW X3 will be locally produced at BMW’s Chennai plant. Local production generally helps in keeping prices more competitive compared to fully imported models, while also ensuring better availability and service support.
Under the bonnet,
BMW has confirmed that the X3 30 xDrive will come with a substantially updated powertrain. While exact numbers have not yet been revealed, the company has stated that both power and torque figures will be higher than the outgoing model. The SUV will continue to use BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system as standard. In simple terms, this system sends power to all four wheels, improving grip and stability, especially on wet roads or rough surfaces.

The exterior has been completely revised to match BMW’s latest design language. The most noticeable change is the illuminated Iconic Glow kidney grille, which gives the front of the SUV a bold and modern look. Updated proportions and sportier detailing further enhance its presence on the road, especially with the M Sport Professional package fitted as standard.
Inside the cabin, BMW says the focus has been on improving comfort, technology and ease of use. While full interior details will be shared closer to the launch, buyers can expect a more modern dashboard layout, larger digital displays and enhanced connectivity features. BMW has also confirmed that customers will be able to schedule test drives of the new X3 through the company’s official website even before the launch.
Interested buyers can place their pre-bookings from January 30 through BMW’s authorised dealerships across India. With a stronger engine, fresh design and a single, well-equipped variant strategy, the new BMW X3 30 xDrive is shaping up to be a strong contender in India’s luxury SUV space. As the launch date approaches, more detailed specifications and pricing information are expected to be revealed.
