Mahindra Racing has just taken the wraps off its new Formula E car – the Mahindra M12Electro, ahead of Season 12 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The big reveal took place at an exclusive event in London which was attended by Anand Mahindra, Chairperson of Mahindra & Mahindra.
The M12Electro showcased a striking new look with metallic red, gloss white, and carbon black colours. The design features 12 stripes, each symbolizing Mahindra’s 12 years in Formula E and proudly carries the Indian flag that celebrates its legacy as the only Indian team competing at the world championship level.
Under the leadership of Frederic Bertrand, Mahindra Racing has shown impressive progress. The team ended Season 11 with five podium finishes in cities
like Monaco, Jakarta, Berlin and London and finished fourth in the overall standings which tripled its previous season’s score. Now, the target is clear to break into the top three this year.

The new car is built on the improved GEN3 Evo platform, and is fine-tuned for better speed, handling and efficiency. It denotes Mahindra’s continuous efforts to push electric technology both on the racetrack and on the road.
At the event, Anand Mahindra said, “After a strong Season 11, I am delighted to be at the launch into the next phase of Mahindra Racing. As the Mahindra Group continues its exciting expansion into electric vehicles on the road, our race cars Rise to new heights on the track. I see a strong symbiotic relationship developing between Mahindra Racing, Tech Mahindra and Mahindra Auto in brand, technology, and experience.”
Adding more to the excitement, Mahindra Racing also announced a new partnership with Valvoline which is a global leader in lubricants and automotive technology. Together, they will develop advanced eFluids and gearbox technology to boost performance in electric racing.

The Season 12 opener will take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on December 6, with Mahindra all set to electrify the grid once again.
