Mahindra is all set to unveil its much-awaited electric SUV, the XEV 9S, in India tomorrow. The company has been teasing this seven-seater SUV for weeks now, and while most details remain under wraps,
the teasers have already given us a fair idea of what to expect. Here are five confirmed features that you’ll find on this upcoming EV.
1. Triple-Screen Dashboard Setup
Mahindra is taking the in-cabin tech game up a notch with a triple-screen setup across the dashboard. The layout includes a digital driver’s display, a large central infotainment screen, and an additional screen for the front passenger. The design looks similar to what we’ve seen in the XEV 9e. The screens are expected to offer connected car features, navigation, and entertainment functions.

2. Rear-Seat Entertainment & Onboard Streaming
The latest teaser video gives us a peek at something new: rear-seat entertainment. Passengers in the back can be seen watching a football match, suggesting the presence of built-in streaming or live TV functionality. It’s likely that Mahindra will equip the 9S with onboard Wi-Fi or 5G connectivity to support streaming platforms.
3. Boss Mode & Adjustable Second Row
Luxury is clearly a big focus here. The XEV 9S will feature Mahindra’s “Boss Mode,” allowing the front passenger seat to slide forward, creating more legroom for the second-row occupant. The rear seats will also offer reclining functionality and adjustable settings between the second and third rows.
4. Dual Cargo Spaces - Boot & Frunk
Mahindra has confirmed that the XEV 9S will offer both a traditional rear boot and a front trunk (frunk). This will be a first for the brand. Though Mahindra hasn’t shared the exact storage capacities, the visuals suggest that both compartments are quite generous.
