Aprilia has added Tribute Editions to both the SR 175 and SR 125 lineup in India — priced at Rs 1.21 lakh and Rs 1.11 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. The change is entirely cosmetic: a matte green paint scheme with camouflage-inspired graphics across the body, described by the company as a tribute to the armed forces. No mechanical changes, no new features, no hardware updates. If you were tracking the SR 175 for a spec upgrade, this isn't it. But if the standard colour options weren't doing it for you, this is now the third choice on the table.
What's Actually Changed — and What Hasn't
Everything that's new on the Tribute Edition is skin-deep. The matte green finish runs across all body panels, paired with military-pattern graphics. The 14-inch
alloy wheels keep their orange rim accents from the standard model, which sit noticeably against the new green. LED lights, TFT display, body structure, instrument console — all identical to the standard SR 175 and SR 125. The only other addition is "Tribute" badging. That's genuinely the complete list of changes. Worth being upfront about that before anyone walks into a dealership expecting more.
Specs, Features and the Ownership Package
The Aprilia SR 175 Tribute runs the same 175cc hp-e engine with CVT — 13 bhp, 14.14 Nm of torque as well as a claimed 95 kmph top speed. Features include a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth and navigation, telescopic front forks, an adjustable rear monoshock, a 220mm ventilated front disc with a two-piston caliper along with single-channel ABS. The SR 125 Tribute follows the same visual treatment with a 125cc motor making 10 bhp and 10.4 Nm with a 90 kmph top speed claim. Hardware and features on the 125 mirror the 175.
Aprilia is bundling both Tribute variants with a five-year warranty up to 60,000 km, one year of free service and two years of roadside assistance — the same ownership terms as the standard range, nothing extra. The premium over the standard variants, if any, is for the paint alone. New buyers who like the look and are comfortable with the mechanical package get the same scooter with different graphics. Existing owners get nothing to upgrade to.
