TVS Motor Company has started 2026 with a strong performance, reporting 511,766 units sold in January, a sharp 29% growth over 397,623 units in the same month last year. Two-wheelers remain the backbone
of TVS sales. The company sold 494,195 two-wheelers in January 2026, up 28% from 387,671 units last year. What’s more interesting is the domestic story. Sales within India rose 30%, from 293,860 to 383,262 units. This shows strong demand from everyday commuters and young riders alike.
Motorcycles contributed significantly, growing 26% to 219,188 units. Popular models in the Apache and Raider families continue to attract riders who want sporty styling with practical performance. Scooters, however, stole the spotlight with a 30% growth, reaching 222,926 units. Products like the Jupiter and Ntorq are widely used for city commuting, and their comfort and fuel efficiency make them favourites among families and office-goers.Also Read: Over 12,000 Hyundai Venue SUVs Sold In January - What's Driving Its Popularity?
TVS is also gaining ground in the electric space. EV sales jumped 50%, from 25,195 units last January to 37,756 units now. The growth reflects increasing interest in electric scooters for daily use, helped by lower running costs and better charging access in cities.
TVS’s international business added to the positive numbers. Exports grew 21%, rising to 122,343 units. Two-wheeler exports alone were up 18%, showing that TVS products are finding buyers beyond India in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
The biggest surprise came from the three-wheeler segment, which recorded a massive 77% growth. Sales rose from 9,952 units to 17,571 units. These vehicles are commonly used for goods transport and passenger movement, especially in small towns and semi-urban areas. This broad-based growth shows that TVS is not dependent on just one category. Scooters for families, motorcycles for youth, EVs for future-ready buyers and three-wheelers for business users, who all are contributing.
TVS is affordable, efficient and reliable mobility is in high demand, and TVS seems to be meeting that need across segments as 2026 begins.
