Yamaha XSR 155: Yamaha gears up to introduce the much-awaited XSR 155 to the Indian market later this year. The XSR 155 promises to deliver a unique blend
of nostalgic design and cutting-edge technology, positioning itself as an appealing option in the premium 150-160cc segment. The Yamaha XSR 155 captures classic motorcycle lines with its round LED headlamp, sculpted teardrop fuel tank, and minimalist bodywork, evoking the spirit of iconic street bikes. Underneath, however, it boasts Yamaha's top-tier engineering, featuring a 155cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out approximately 19.3 PS at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14.7 Nm at 8,500 rpm. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox with an assist & slipper clutch, the XSR 155 offers both spirited performance and everyday usability. The XSR 155 is expected to be priced between Rs 1.75 lakh and Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it just below its platform siblings, the MT-15 and R15 V4. Yamaha already manufactures the Aerox 155 and R15 locally, suggesting the XSR 155 will benefit from competitive pricing due to shared components and economies of scale. The launch will see the XSR 155 rub shoulders with both retro-themed bikes like the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and modern sporty 150cc models, carving out a new niche among urban riders seeking style with substance. Key features include a Deltabox frame, USD front forks, monoshock rear suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels, single-channel ABS, and a full digital instrument cluster. The XSR 155’s strong suit is its fusion of classic charm and advanced technology, something rarely seen in the segment
