The Mahindra ATV is based on the Mahindra Thar Roxx platform and uses the SUV’s chassis and off-road geometry but removes civilian features. The design focuses on operational use.

Mahindra described the vehicle as purpose-built for extreme environments. The ATV includes full underbody protection and a front-mounted winch for self-recovery. It has mounts for airdrop readiness, a gun mount, and a windshield protector. It also features tandem tyre carriers and jerrycan holders for extended missions.
Standard doors are replaced with tubular frames. The roof is replaced by a roll cage. The structure is open and reinforced. The vehicle has higher ground clearance and off-road tyres. Exact specifications have not been disclosed.

Mahindra said every component is designed for function. The vehicle is intended for use in mountains, deserts, and remote regions. It is engineered for durability, repairability, and operational effectiveness.
No details have been shared on engine options or deployment timelines. Possible powertrains could be derived from Thar Roxx engines, including a 2.2-litre diesel or 2.0-litre turbo petrol unit, but this has not been confirmed.
