The automotive industry this week is filled with a number of notable car and two-wheeler launches and announcements. With improved interior technology, a new turbo-petrol engine, and updated style, Tata Motors unveiled the 2026 Tata Punch facelift, which will be on sale in mid-January.

The EQS SUV Celebration Edition has a 122-kWh battery, 4MATIC all-wheel drive, and luxury amenities including active back seat ventilation and AMG design. The EQS features strong performance, long electric range and premium comfort.
Mercedes-Maybach GLS Celebration Edition
The Mercedes-Maybach GLS Celebration Edition was introduced in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹4.10 crore. This ultra-luxury SUV include a MANUFAKTUR leather inside, individual back seats with a complete centre console, advanced MBUX rear controls, a 29-speaker Burmester sound system, and a refrigerated unit with custom champagne flute holders. It is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine that produces 557 horsepower and 770 Nm.
Mahindra XEV 9S
The Mahindra XEV 9S is a brand-new, all-electric seven-seater SUV that starts at about ₹19.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings will open on January 14, and delivery will start later in January. It is Mahindra's premier family-oriented electric vehicle, with a variety of battery choices to suit various performance and range requirements.

It has a digital TFT display, regenerative braking, many riding modes, and a 3.07 kWh LFP battery that is said to provide a range of around 95 km per charge.
