What is the story about?
Audi India, on Tuesday, announced a new extended warranty and roadside assistance program across its entire product range. The initiative includes an industry-first 10-year extended warranty and a 15-year roadside assistance
plan, both offered as value-added options to new and existing customers.
According to the German luxury car manufacturer, the extended warranty provides coverage for manufacturing defects in Audi vehicles for up to 10 years from the date of sale, with mileage protection of up to 200,000 kilometres.
Moreover, customers can also choose between a 1-year or 2-year extension beyond the standard warranty. This coverage is available for all Audi models in India and can be purchased either at the time of buying a new car or before the current
warranty ends.
Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, in a company statement, said, “Our extended warranty and Audi Roadside Assistance Program is an extension of our unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction and establish new industry standards for luxury automotive service in India.”
The 15-year roadside assistance program offers round-the-clock emergency support throughout India, covering National highways, State highways, and other motorable roads within the country. Services include emergency breakdown
support, towing after breakdowns, accidents, or immobilisation, and on-the-spot help for minor mechanical or electrical issues.
Additional emergency services include fuel delivery of up to 10 litres (fuel cost borne by the customer), battery boost, tyre repair or replacement assistance, spare key delivery, and lockout support.
Premium services in the program include hotel accommodation or onward/return journey support if repairs take more than 72 hours and the customer is over 100 kilometres away from their base location.
The program also offers vehicle custody and transportation, safekeeping services, specially designed towing platforms, and complimentary refreshments for passengers.
Other service features include email alerts to the nearest dealership during a breakdown, updates every 30 minutes until the issue is resolved, full use of protective body covers during service, and a WhatsApp-based system for requesting assistance.
The cost of the roadside assistance package ranges from ₹3,999 to ₹8,000, depending on
the age of the vehicle and the selected validity period. Existing Audi customers can upgrade to the new programs depending on their vehicle’s age and current warranty status.
